MiMedX
MiMedX is a pioneer and leader in placental biologics, delivering advanced amniotic tissue allografts that support healing and tissue protection across surgical specialties. In neurosurgery, MiMedX allografts serve as protective barriers during craniectomies, craniotomies, and cranioplasties — reducing tissue plane complications and supporting better surgical re-access. All products are processed using MiMedX’s proprietary PURION® technology, which preserves over 300 extracellular matrix regulatory proteins.

Amniotic Allograft — Neurosurgery
AMNIOFIX is MiMedX’s primary neurosurgical allograft — a dehydrated human amnion/chorion membrane (DHACM) used as a protective barrier over acute wounds, exposed dura, and tissue planes during cranial and spine procedures. Peer-reviewed RCTs and surgeon case studies demonstrate reduced tissue plane adhesion during cranioplasty re-access, supporting more efficient reoperations. Terminally sterilized. Up to 5-year shelf life. Does not expand upon hydration. Applications include craniectomies, craniotomies, cranioplasties, laminectomies, fusions, and spine acute wound incisions.

Amniotic Allograft
AMNIOEFFECT is a placental allograft comprising human amnion, intermediate layer, and chorion — providing a protective barrier on surgical wounds and exposed tissues. Like AMNIOFIX, it is processed with the PURION® method and offers the regenerative ECM properties of placental tissue. Available in configurations suited for a range of wound sizes and surgical applications.
