Activation (0–12 Days)

Once a hydroxyapatite layer forms, the glass interacts with blood proteins, growth factors, and collagen — driving new bone growth onto and between the bioactive glass structures.

Bonalive® Granules is an S53P4 bioactive glass bone cavity filler for bone infection resolution and use in bone surgery. The granules naturally inhibit bacterial growth of up to 50 clinically relevant strains — including MRSA — providing a 1-stage osteostimulative solution that reduces antibiotic dependency.
